2. Is studying at your college worthwhile?
The benefits of studying at DU English College include:
  • The chance to ask us any questions on English or TESL (e.g. you might ask about a grammar point or how best to learn or teach something... anytime)!
  • Intensive courses are available so that if you need to learn English quickly, you can. You can expect to improve your English by half an IELTS band every 10 weeks of full-time intensive study!
  • You have free membership of our DU English Club during your course (with original resources to help you in your studies - learning & teaching tips, e-workbooks, teachers guides, individual and class report forms, revision assessments, answer keys, end-of-term tests and other resources for the student and teacher)
  • Our materials were created by a team of over 30 highly qualified teachers, training is by highly qualified TESOL trainers, and DU Publishers is our sister organisation, so we offer quality!
  • You receive feedback, advice and assessment from highly qualified and experienced Australian TESOL and ESL assessors
  • We are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), so our quality is assured, our courses are accredited and our certificates are valuable

3. Are your courses online or face-to-face?
The answer is both. At DU English College, most courses have blended delivery (a combination of face-to-face classes, distance education and online lessons).

If you cannot attend our classes, pure online delivery is also available at our Online English College.

4. Is your college recognised by government and are your courses accredited?
Yes to both questions. DU English College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), registered in Australia and our courses are fully accredited. We had to go through a lengthy process to receive government approval. The government had to make sure that our courses and administration are of the highest quality.

In the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, only an RTO:
  • is required to meet strict quality standards
  • is assessed every three to five years by the government
  • is allowed to train and assess students in an accredited course
  • is allowed to issue an official, nationally-recognised Qualification or Statement of Attainment (certificates issued by an unregistered company are worthless)
  • is allowed to display the triangular RTO logo (below)
  • is required to protect your tuition fees
  • is required to cover all required units so that the qualification is valuable
  • is required to employ well-qualified educators
