Vocational Graduate Certificate in TESOL

Nominal duration: 280 hours (220 hours supervised including online assessment & 60 hours of work placement)
Course length: 10 days intensive full-time (with online components, and RPL or Certificate IV in TESOL and IELTS 6.5 with no score under 6), or 2 months full-time, or 4 months part-time

This course is at a higher level, so will provide greater and more flexible job opportunities. It provides more advanced skills than the Certificate IV course.

Sample Vocational Graduate Certificate

Occupational titles may include:

TESOL teacher in language institute or non-English speaking university
Business English teacher
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) instructor
TESOL writer
In combination with another qualification in any job that has ESL-speakers as clients

Entry Requirements for Vocational Graduate Certificate in TESOL

a Bachelor Degree (any discipline), three-year diploma or other equivalent higher education qualification

not less than three years full-time vocational TESOL experience (or equivalent) without a recognised higher education qualification

AND for learners from a non-English speaking background:

IELTS 6.5 with no score under 6 / ISLPR two skills at 3+ and two skills at 3 (or equivalent) as a minimum
